Album Notes & Community Reviews
The fourth studio album by Jeff Rosenstock's fiercely independent collective sees the group transitioning away from their frantic, chaotic ska-punk origins. While maintaining their DIY ethos and high-energy pacing, the songwriting embraces mature indie-rock arrangements, acoustic guitars, and deeply personal, depressive lyricism about aging and winter isolation. The record signaled a major critical turning point for the beloved underground punks.
