Album Notes & Community Reviews

Moving away from the stark acoustic isolation of 'For Emma', Justin Vernon expands his sonic palette with horns, pedal steel, and synthesizers. The album is a lush, impressionistic landscape of sound, evoking the changing seasons and the geography of place. It solidified Bon Iver as a major force in alternative music.
