Album Notes & Community Reviews
Billed as the 'autumn' concluding chapter of the project's seasonal four-album cycle, Justin Vernon brilliantly synthesizes the disparate eras of his acclaimed indie-folk band. The record blends the digital, glitch-heavy abstraction of '22, A Million' with incredibly warm, sweeping brass and acoustic instrumentation. Featuring an enormous collaborative cast, it acts as a profoundly spiritual, communal piece of avant-garde pop.
