Volumes: One (Selections From Music Concerts 2019-2023 Bon Iver 6 Piece Band)

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking the project's first official non-studio album, 'Volumes: One' archives the period when Bon Iver fully transitioned from Justin Vernon's solitary folk endeavor into a dynamic, collaborative six-piece band. The selections, recorded between 2019 and 2023, showcase robust and exploratory reinterpretations of the catalog, merging the lush, electronic arrangements of the 'i,i' era with a powerful and often improvisational live rock energy. These performances document a distinct, communal chapter in the band's history, capturing what Vernon considers the definitive and most realized iteration of the group.
