Album Notes & Community Reviews

Emphasizing a polished, highly stylized studio aesthetic, 'The Glow' finds Bonnie Raitt maneuvering through smooth, R&B-inflected pop-rock. The production slightly softens her trademark gritty blues slide guitar in favor of pristine, radio-friendly arrangements, featuring a standout cover of Isaac Hayes' 'Your Good Thing (Is About to End)'. The album serves as a slick, sophisticated reflection of the late-seventies adult contemporary landscape.
