Album Notes & Community Reviews

Adapting to the rapidly changing R&B landscape at the dawn of the 1980s, Bootsy Collins streamlined his chaotic P-Funk aesthetic for 'Ultra Wave'. The album leans heavily into emerging synth funk and tight boogie grooves, prominently featuring the hit single 'Mug Push'. It represents a transitional phase for the legendary bassist, embracing modern studio technology while retaining his signature eccentric humor.
