Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking the arrival of highly versatile vocalist Vintersorg, the Norwegian ensemble pushed their folk-infused black metal into vastly more complex, progressive territory. 'Empiricism' heavily utilizes intricate synthesizer arrangements and Hammond organs, providing a lush, philosophical backdrop to the incredibly technical guitar work and shifting dynamics.
