Album Notes & Community Reviews

Brand New's debut album, 'Your Favorite Weapon', is a raw and energetic encapsulation of the early 2000s pop-punk and emo-pop scene. Driven by youthful angst, the album features aggressive guitar riffs and anthemic choruses, with frontman Jesse Lacey's sarcastic and often spiteful lyrics centering on themes of heartbreak, betrayal, and adolescence. While the band would later evolve into more complex and somber territory, this record stands as a defining and passionate statement of their origins.
