Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his successful revitalization of big band jump blues, the former Stray Cats frontman delivers another high-energy collection of brass-driven rockabilly. 'Vavoom!' seamlessly mixes lively original compositions with boisterous covers, including a frantic reinterpretation of 'Pennsylvania 6-5000'. The album earned a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance, sustaining the commercial momentum of the late-90s swing revival.
