Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally commissioned as a piece for the Southbank Centre in London, this conceptual suite marks the former Beach Boy's return to Capitol Records. Reuniting with 'Smile' collaborator Van Dyke Parks for lyrical contributions, the album explores sweeping, nostalgic vignettes of Southern California interconnected by spoken-word interludes. It serves as a triumphant, orchestrally lush celebration of his enduring musical legacy.
