Following up a hugely successful debut, the group further refined their synthesis of melodic piano rock and blue-collar storytelling. Anchored by the hit single 'The Valley Road', the album expands its sonic palette with longer improvisational passages, hinting at Hornsby's future affiliations with the jam band scene. It provides a polished, optimistic, yet subtly bittersweet portrait of working-class American life.
