Album Notes & Community Reviews

Guided extensively by Timbaland and Organized Noize, the Georgia rapper creates a surprisingly nuanced, highly autobiographical exploration of rural Southern identity. The production brilliantly merges futuristic hip-hop beats with traditional bluegrass instrumentation, including banjos, fiddles, and acoustic guitars. The album is widely recognized as a highly creative, genre-blending high point for the early 2000s country-rap movement.
