Album Notes & Community Reviews

Shedding some of the thick, grunge-era distortion that characterized their earlier releases, 'Sleepy Eyed' finds the Boston power trio Buffalo Tom embracing a crisp, highly melodic alternative rock sound. The album is anchored by driving, earnest jangle-pop anthems and Bill Janovitz's distinctively raw, impassioned vocal performances. It successfully highlights the band's remarkable consistency as premier songwriters within the crowded 90s alternative landscape.
