Biography
Buffalo Tom is an American alternative rock trio formed in Amherst, Massachusetts, in 1986 by Bill Janovitz (guitar, vocals), Chris Colbourn (bass, vocals) and Tom Maginnis (drums), a line-up that has never changed. After college-radio beginnings and early records produced by *J Mascis*, they broke through with 'Let Me Come Over' (1992) and its signature song 'Taillights Fade', followed by 'Big Red Letter Day' and 'Sleepy Eyed'. A long post-1998 hiatus ended with 'Three Easy Pieces' (2007), and the trio remains active, most recently with 'Jump Rope' (2024).
