Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping momentarily away from his role in the legendary Geto Boys, Bushwick Bill's 'Phantom of the Rapra' is a terrifying, highly theatrical exploration of personal demons and urban paranoia. The album leans heavily into the burgeoning horrorcore aesthetic, utilizing deeply sinister G-funk production to underscore narratives of grief, suicide, and madness. It remains one of the most unapologetically grim, conceptually tight solo efforts to emerge from the Houston rap scene.
