Album Notes & Community Reviews

A continuous 73-minute journey in seven movements, 'The Shaman's Heart' builds from lone peyote rattles to dense polyrhythmic peaks, with Metcalf on buffalo drums, frame drums, udu and clay pot. Steve Roach shapes the surrounding soundworlds on synthesizer, didgeridoo and ocarinas, and the Monroe Institute's Hemi-Sync edition of the recording won the COVR 2006 Visionary Award for Best Innerspace/Meditational/Healing CD.
