Seeking to reinvigorate their Southwestern desert-rock sound, the Tucson-based collective ventured directly to the Coyoac谩n neighborhood of Mexico City for the recording sessions. The album boasts a remarkably collaborative spirit, featuring guest appearances from Neko Case, Sam Beam of Iron & Wine, and Ben Bridwell. The infusion of local Mexican instrumentation provides a bright, deeply romantic warmth to the sweeping arrangements.
