Iron and Wine

Iron and Wine is the musical project of singer-songwriter Sam Beam, known for his intimate, literate, and emotionally resonant indie folk. Beam initially gained acclaim for the hushed, lo-fi bedroom recordings of his 2002 debut, "The Creek Drank the Cradle," released by #Sub Pop#. His sound evolved from sparse acoustic arrangements to richer, full-band productions on landmark albums like "Our Endless Numbered Days" and the eclectic "The Shepherd's Dog". Over his career, Beam has moved between labels including #4AD# and #Nonesuch#, consistently exploring folk, pop, and jazz influences while maintaining the distinctive, gentle strength of his songwriting and vocal delivery.
