Album Notes & Community Reviews
Shifting away from their metallic hardcore roots, the Finnish quintet delivers a sprawling, cinematic post-metal epic. The crushing, down-tuned guitar riffs are frequently interspersed with mournful saxophone solos and expansive, delay-heavy interludes. It is highly praised for effectively merging the bleakness of doom metal with the nuanced textures of dark jazz.
