Hallelujah

Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Hallelujah' continued Canned Heat's commitment to amplified blues and boogie at a moment when the band was becoming a festival-era staple. The record features the group's characteristic devotion to older blues sources filtered through long-haired West Coast rock culture. It arrived in the same year as their Woodstock appearance, reinforcing their public association with blues revivalism and counterculture audiences.
