In an attempt to revitalize their commercial standing following the tragic loss of Al Wilson, the veteran blues-rockers recorded this session in Muscle Shoals with prominent horn arrangements. The inclusion of the legendary Muscle Shoals Horns adds a robust, highly polished R&B flavor to the band's traditional, chugging boogie-rock sound. While it deviated slightly from their psychedelic origins, it proved their enduring competence as a formidable blues-based ensemble.
