Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Cannonball Adderley and The Poll-Winners' was issued by Riverside Records, featuring a lineup of musicians who had recently topped DownBeat magazine's critics polls. The session paired Adderley's alto saxophone with guitarist Wes Montgomery and bassist Ray Brown, substituting a traditional piano for a leaner, string-driven hard bop texture.
