Album Notes & Community Reviews

Compiled from late 1950s sessions during his tenure with EmArcy/Mercury, this release capitalized on the alto saxophonist's rising stardom. 'Cannonball Enroute' captures Adderley's exuberantly swinging, blues-drenched approach before the formal establishment of his hugely successful soul-jazz quintet.
