Miradas

Operating heavily within the politically radical spheres of 1970s Italy, this ensemble completely deconstructs traditional Mediterranean folk music using avant-garde jazz and progressive rock methodologies. The acoustic instrumentation is often subjected to aggressive dissonance and unpredictable, frenetic tempo shifts. It is an uncompromisingly challenging, intensely intellectual artifact of the European experimental folk underground.
