Album Notes & Community Reviews

Famously remixed by producer Bob Krasnow with heavy, unwanted psychedelic phasing effects, Captain Beefheart's sophomore release remains a gloriously strange blues-rock artifact. 'Strictly Personal' is fiercely manic and wonderfully surreal, driving intensely raw, delightfully quirky polyphonic structures through a heavy, drug-fueled lo-fi haze.
