Andorra
by Caribou
Dan Snaith's fourth album as Caribou, 'Andorra' marked a significant shift towards a more accessible and pop-oriented sound, steeped in the sunshine psychedelia of the 1960s. [10] The album is a dense and lush tapestry of sound, weaving together melodic hooks, complex harmonies, and intricate, propulsive drum patterns to create a warm and uplifting atmosphere. While rooted in electronic production, 'Andorra' is rich with organic textures and influences from krautrock and dream pop, resulting in a critically acclaimed work of vibrant, futuristic psychedelic pop. [12] The album was awarded the 2008 Polaris Music Prize.
