Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Boy' is a raw and confrontational album written from the perspective of various male archetypes, exploring themes of masculinity and violence. Carla Bozulich's distinctive, often visceral vocal delivery is at the forefront, backed by a dissonant and textured blend of noisy guitars, industrial rhythms, and stark electronics. The record was developed over several years with producer John Evert and stands as one of her most focused and challenging solo works.
