Carla Bozulich

Biography

American singer and songwriter Carla Bozulich, born in New York City and raised in San Pedro, California, has one of the most distinctive voices in underground music. She fronted *Ethyl Meatplow* before founding *The Geraldine Fibbers*, whose 'Lost Somewhere Between the Earth and My Home' (1995) fused country, punk and noise. Her song-by-song remake of *Willie Nelson*'s 'Red Headed Stranger' (2003) preceded the #Constellation Records# album 'Evangelista' (2006) and the band of that name, while the solo album 'Boy' (2014) showcased her bruised, cathartic songwriting in more direct form.
