Album Notes & Community Reviews

Dedicated to his wife, the guitar legend assembled a collection of highly expressive, mostly instrumental outtakes and live recordings for this solo effort. 'Blues for Salvador' pivots away from the commercial pop-rock of his primary band, emphasizing deep jazz-rock improvisation and fiery Latin percussion. The title track's deeply emotive guitar work notably earned him his first career Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.
