Album Notes & Community Reviews

Chan Marshall completely deconstructs a wide array of classic songs, stripping away all traditional percussion and rock instrumentation. Armed with only sparse, hypnotic acoustic guitar playing and her profoundly smoky, intimate voice, she transforms highly familiar tracks into devastatingly sad, minimalist folk ballads.
