Biography
Atlanta-born singer-songwriter Chan Marshall, whose albums 'Moon Pix' (1998), 'You Are Free' (2003) and 'The Greatest' (2006) for #Matador Records# move between indie rock, folk and Southern soul. Her voice, hushed and weathered, has made her one of the most distinctive interpreters and writers in American music, and her covers reframe standards as private confessionals. Later work includes 'Wanderer' (2018) and a full performance of Dylan's 1966 Albert Hall concert.
