Album Notes & Community Reviews

Chan Marshall's tenth studio album marks her departure from Matador Records and a distinct return to the stripped-back, deeply intimate acoustic folk of her early career. Entirely self-produced, the record leans heavily on her soulful, smoky vocal delivery and sparse piano and guitar arrangements, famously featuring a collaboration with Lana Del Rey on 'Woman'. It is highly regarded as a resilient, profoundly soothing testament to her enduring artistic independence.
