Album Notes & Community Reviews

'La Diva aux Pieds Nus' is the debut album by Cape Verdean singer Ces谩ria 脡vora, recorded in Paris after producer Jos茅 da Silva discovered her performing in Lisbon. Its eight tracks open with the zouk flavoured coladeira 'Bia Lulucha', a hit within the Cape Verdean community, and the album sold 3,000 copies, principally to that diaspora audience. The title translates as 'The Barefoot Diva', after the singer's practice of performing without shoes.
