Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Brat', Charli XCX channels the 2000s illegal London rave scene with a minimalist yet aggressive club sound defined by producers like A. G. Cook. Lyrically, the album balances this confrontational energy with stark vulnerability, exploring complex relationships with fellow artists, grief, and the contemplation of motherhood. The record received widespread critical acclaim and significant commercial success, while its stark, lime-green cover art became a cultural touchstone.
