As the soundtrack for Emerald Fennell’s film adaptation, Charli XCX's 'Wuthering Heights' shifts away from pop immediacy towards a raw, gothic, and atmospheric sound. Created with producer Finn Keane, the album balances an 'elegant and brutal' electronic palette, moving between the industrial-tinged textures of "House" featuring John Cale and the cinematic synth-pop of "Chains of Love". The project synthesizes experimental and neofolk styles to build a sonic world reflecting the film's wild, sexual, and British themes.
