Album Notes & Community Reviews

A stunning, highly intimate project featuring the iconic bassist engaged in distinct, one-on-one improvisational dialogues with four jazz heavyweights: Keith Jarrett, Ornette Coleman, Alice Coltrane, and Paul Motian. Stripped of traditional rhythm sections, the stark acoustic settings demand intense emotional intuition and jaw-dropping technical interplay. The record stands as a profound testament to Haden's versatility and deeply empathetic musical ear.
