Matt Sweeney's New York quartet debuted with a remarkably complex, highly angular masterclass of 1990s guitar-centric indie rock. The remarkably intricate, dual-guitar interplay frequently utilizes highly unusual, interlocking riffs that wildly blur the line between aggressive math-rock and soaring, highly melodic alternative pop.
