Album Notes & Community Reviews

Chico Buarque adapted a Sergio Bardotti and Luis Bacalov musical into 'Os saltimbancos', a landmark children's album with profound allegorical depth. Blending MPB with theatrical storytelling, the animal fable subtly critiques the Brazilian military dictatorship and systemic inequality. It is revered as both a beloved family classic and a brilliant piece of subversive art.
