Album Notes & Community Reviews

Created during a period of heavy censorship by the Brazilian military dictatorship, the record is notable for being primarily a collection of covers of other prominent MPB artists. To bypass censors, the artist also utilized the pseudonym Julinho da Adelaide for several compositions. The arrangements prioritize lush orchestrations and somber acoustic textures, functioning as a defiant document of creative resilience under political suppression.
