Album Notes & Community Reviews
Accompanied by heavyweights like Elvin Jones and Hilton Ruiz, the tenor saxophonist delivers a deeply spiritual and intensely focused acoustic set. The album bridges the gap between classic modal jazz and the searching, angular edge of the avant-garde, showcasing Freeman's commanding, warm tone.
