Exotika

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing to distance themselves from their abrasive origins in Throbbing Gristle, the electronic duo fully embraced sleek, sequencer-driven dance music. 'Exotika' combines sensual, whispery vocals with heavily rhythmic post-industrial synths, generating a mesmerizing brand of subversive synthpop. The record was highly influential across both alternative dance floors and the burgeoning techno movement.
