Biography
Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti formed Chris & Cosey in 1981, immediately after *Throbbing Gristle*, the industrial pioneers they had both played in, broke up. On #Rough Trade# albums including 'Heartbeat' (1981), 'Trance' (1982) and 'Songs of Love & Lust' (1984) they fused industrial rhythm, electronics and sampling with synth-pop melody and Tutti's vocals, cornet and guitar. Their own #Conspiracy International# label housed more experimental work. Since 2000 they have also recorded as Carter Tutti and, with *Nik Colk Void*, as Carter Tutti Void.
