Album Notes & Community Reviews

The foundational Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers member fully embraced his acoustic origins for this stunning, deeply traditional solo outing. Backed by a stellar lineup of bluegrass luminaries including Herb Pedersen and Byron Berline, the record eschews the electric country-rock he helped pioneer in favor of beautifully pristine, mandolin-laced Americana. It is widely considered one of the finest and most authentic works of his extensive career.
