Album Notes & Community Reviews
Stepping away from his frequent collaborator Erik Jacobsen, the Californian crooner self-produced a significant portion of this album to achieve a leaner, more direct sound. While retaining his signature reverb-drenched rockabilly aesthetics, 'Speak of the Devil' incorporates a broader Americana palette and notably muscular roots-rock dynamics.
