Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded entirely at his home on a rudimentary 4-track machine, this solo debut from the Tall Dwarfs mastermind is a pinnacle of the lo-fi New Zealand indie scene. Chris Knox pairs beautifully twisted, Beatles-esque pop melodies with bizarre tape loops and noisy, amateurish instrumentation. The album includes the iconic alternative anthem 'Not Given Lightly', one of the most beloved love songs in New Zealand history.
