Album Notes & Community Reviews

The highly prolific New Zealand lo-fi pioneer delivers a deeply intimate, wonderfully eccentric collection of four-track pop songs. 'Songs of You and Me' relies entirely on Chris Knox's quirky, highly melodic acoustic strumming and wildly inventive, intentionally primitive home-recording techniques. The album perfectly captures the fiercely independent, deeply romantic DIY essence of the legendary Dunedin Sound.
