Album Notes & Community Reviews

The French pop icon completely reinvented his sound with this deeply melancholic, conceptually ambitious masterpiece of progressive pop. Featuring lyrics co-written by a young Jean-Michel Jarre, the lush, highly sophisticated production integrates sweeping orchestrations and early synthesizers, creating a cinematic backdrop for Christophe's haunting, breathy vocal delivery. It is universally regarded as a sophisticated, culturally significant landmark of 1970s French music.
