That We Must Pass Through This Life

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'That We Must Pass Through This Life', Cindytalk crafts a stark and austere journey through four distinct parts, blending dark ambient textures with experimental noise. The album's precisely arranged sound, described by creator Cinder as "ambi-dustrial," is characterized by suppressed dynamics, glacial piano tones, and vast sonic spaces punctuated by subtle, raw details. This immersive and minimalist work creates a dream-like state that evolves from light to darkness, with its conceptual framework reinforced by song titles that collectively quote a poem by Izumi Shikibu.
