Biography
Scottish experimental project formed in Edinburgh in 1982 by singer Gordon Sharp (Cinder), out of the punk band *The Freeze*. Cindytalk's early records, including 'Camouflage Heart' and the twin 'In This World' albums, fractured post-punk into noise and ambience; later work turned toward improvised piano and abstract electronics. Sharp also sang on *This Mortal Coil*'s 'It'll End in Tears'. The project has remained active across five decades.
