Album Notes & Community Reviews

Featuring an incredible lineup of Chick Corea, Anthony Braxton, Dave Holland, and Barry Altschul, this double LP captures a fleeting but massively influential free jazz supergroup. Issued by ECM, the recording documents deeply cerebral, highly interactive acoustic improvisations that pushed traditional jazz structures to the absolute brink of abstraction.
